The 5rd INTERNATIONAL BURSA OSMAN GAZI
HALF-MARATHON STATUS
The 5rd International Bursa Osmangazi Historical Half Marathon which is included both in International schedule and in the events schedule of Turkish Athletics Federation will be held in Bursa on April 18, 2010 and the technical meeting will be held in the conference room of Bursa Osmangazi Belediyespor Club.
GENERAL ISSUES :
1. The races will be held (including the latest changes) in accordance with the rules of Athelitcs Federation (Atletizm Federasyonu) and IAAF.
2. Race; the club is open to all athletes, to individuals and there is no nationality restrictions. Athletes who are of a different nationality are required to submit their passport at the registration.
3. The races for adults: men and women.
4. Below are the age categories:
Women : Athletes of 18 years of age and older.
Men : Athletess of 18 years of age and older.
Public Marathon : Open participation.
Masters : 40 – 45
: 46 – 50
: 51 – 55
: 56 - 60
: 61 and over
5. Athletes will participate in the races with their licences visaed for the 2007-2008 seasons. Those who do not have an individual licence or a club licence will not be allowed to participate in the race.
6. Health care, security, transportation, preparation of the race course and the procurement of breast numbers for the 3rd International Bursa Osmangazi Historical Half Marathon will be supplied by the organizers of the race; Osmangazi Belediye Başkanlığı (Osmangazi Mayoralty) and Omangazi Belediyespor Club.
7. The organization of the races will be carried out by Osmangazi Belediyespor Club and Organization Committee (Organizasyon Tertip Komitesi).
8. Administrators, trainers and athletes who will participate in the race can visit Osmangazi Belediyespor Club or call 0(224) 243 73 43 for further information.
9. Those who will participate in the 3rd International Bursa Osman Gazi Historical Half Marathon can register for the marathon by April 19, Saturday, 17:00 PM at Tarihi Merino Tren İstasyonu Kafesi ( Bursa Historical Merinos Railway Station Café). Following the registration, between 18:00 PM and 20:00 PM, the ‘Pasta Party’ will be held. Those who do not register within the time mentioned above will not be allowed to participate in the race. However, the decision concerning those candidates who were not able to register in the designated time due to an excuse, will be made by Osmangazi Belediyespor Club representative and Organization Committee (Organizasyon Tertip Komitesi).
10. Breast-numbers and equipments will be distributed on April 18, 2010, at 15:00 PM, in Tarihi Merinos Tren İstasyonu Café (Historical Merinos Railway Station Café).
11. Results, both documented and saved on a diskette, together with referee schedules, will be submitted to Federation Representative by Province Representative (İl Temsilciliği).
12. Results will be published on www.osmangazimarathon.net as of April 21, 15.00 PM.
TECHNICAL ISSUES :
1. The 3rd International Bursa Osman Gazi Historical Half Marathon covers a course of 21,100 meters and all the entrants will run the same distance.
2. Public Marathon covers a course of 4136 meters and is open to everyone.
3. Only the authorized vehicles will be allowed into the marathon course.
4. Marathon course will be determined based on historical places and the course will be announced at the technical meeting.
5. The race lasts 2 hours and those entrants who exceed this duration will be picked up off the course by the designated vehicle.
FINANCIAL ISSUES :
1. The prizes of Top 10 men and top 10 women and top 3 masters within the defined age groups will be delivered by Bursa Osmangazi Belediyesi and Osmangazi Belediyespor Clup.
2. All the athletes who complete course will receive a medal, a certificate of partipication, t-shirt, cap and bag.

3. 3.Since this race is private, masters will be able to compete within the defined age groups. Top 3 athletes from each group will receive medals. All entrant will receive a t-shirt, a cap, a bag, a medal of participation and a certificate of participation.
